Services Provided

Sullivan County Victim Services offers the following services:

24-Hour Hotline

Trained volunteers and staff provide support, short term counseling, information, and referral to child and adult victims of domestic violence, rape, and other crimes. All information is confidential.

Emergency Shelter

Abused adults and their children can temporarily stay in an environment where they may take time to consider their options and receive full support from the Victim Services staff.

Support Groups

People who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault, or sexual assault as children meet to help one another deal with issues affecting survivors. The information shared at these meetings is done so honoring strict confidentiality.

Our Services Include

support in applying for Protection From Abuse Orders; supportive counseling on a group and individual basis; and accompaniment to: hospitals, legal proceedings, and other agencies.

Eligibility

Support Services are available to residents of Sullivan County who are survivors of present or past domestic abuse, sexual assault, or other crimes.

Community Education

Awareness Programs are available, at no cost, to all age groups. Topics covered are:

  • Child abuse
  • Legal Advocacy
  • Medical Advocacy
  • Elder abuse
  • The relationship of domestic abuse to drugs and alcohol, parenting, and bullying
